Mike and Karen McDonald, Changing Hearts and Lives Through the Power of the Gospel
Mike and Karen are currently serving in Nizhy Novgorod, Russia as missionarys for Foursquare International Missions. Their ministry revolves around four key aspects.Rehabilitation Ministry:
Mike and Karen work within a network of faith based rehabilitation centers teaching basic Christian living to young men and women who have entered the rehabilitation process and are seeking freedom through a living relationship with Jesus Christ.Church Planting:
Mike and Karen work alongside an indigenous church planting movement, The Association of Cornerstone Churches, helping facilitate church planting teams through mentoring, discipleship, and resources. Each of these church plants consist of graduates from the 12 month rehab program that have gone on to a three month Bible and Missionary school in Siberia. After graduation the teams are deployed to the cities that they feel God is calling them to. Their mission is to duplicate the ministry of starting drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs, ministry to homeless people and prison release rehabs, as well as starting a church to minister to these people and their families.Discipleship & Mentoring:
Mike and Karen serve the local church as associate pastors, mentor dozens of young leaders, disciple young married couples, and provide pre-marital counsel to engaged couples.Homeless Ministry:
